Our Values

🎨 Creativity - We celebrate innovative designs and creative expression 🤝 Respect - We treat all community members with dignity and kindness 📚 Sharing - We believe in the power of open collaboration 🛡️ Safety - We prioritize the safety of our community and their prints ⚖️ Fairness - We respect intellectual property and give credit where due 🔓 Fair Access - We prioritize accessibility. While we respect all licenses, we encourage creators to keep their documentation and primary print profiles free for the community to ensure 3D printing remains an open hobby

  • Incomplete descriptions: Missing essential print settings or instructions
  • Misleading information: Incorrect print settings that could waste users' time and materials

Licensing and Attribution

Respecting Licenses

When you download and use models from Bambu Prints:

  1. Read the license attached to each model before downloading
  2. Follow the terms - if it requires attribution, provide it
  3. Respect restrictions - if non-commercial, don't sell prints
  4. ShareAlike compliance - if required, use the same license for remixes

Creating Remixes

When creating remixes or derivatives:

  1. Check the license - ensure the original allows modifications
  2. Credit the original - link to the source model and creator
  3. Use compatible licenses - follow ShareAlike requirements
  4. Be honest - clearly indicate what you changed or added

Choosing Licenses

When uploading your own models:

  1. Understand the options - know what each license permits
  2. Be consistent - consider how you want your work used
  3. CC0/Public Domain - maximum freedom for users
  4. CC BY - requires attribution but allows commercial use
  5. CC BY-NC - restricts commercial use
  6. Personal Use Only - most restrictive option

Community Behavior

Be Respectful

  • Treat others how you want to be treated
  • Disagree respectfully - attack ideas, not people
  • Welcome newcomers and help them learn
  • Assume good intentions before assuming bad ones

Be Constructive

  • Offer helpful feedback, not just criticism
  • Suggest improvements rather than just pointing out flaws
  • Share your knowledge and experience
  • Celebrate others' successes

Open Collaboration

We encourage designers to share their source files (STEP, Fusion360, FreeCAD, etc.) alongside STLs when possible. On commercial platforms, creators often hide source files. Here, sharing your source files is a badge of honor - it helps others learn, enables remixes, and embodies the open-source spirit that made 3D printing what it is today. Your STLs help people print; your source files help people grow.

Don't Engage In

  • Harassment: Targeting, bullying, or threatening users
  • Personal attacks: Insults, name-calling, or demeaning language
  • Doxxing: Sharing others' personal information without consent
  • Brigading: Coordinated negative actions against users
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else
  • Trolling: Deliberately provoking or upsetting others

Commenting Guidelines

Good Comments

  • Questions about print settings or assembly
  • Feedback on your experience printing the model
  • Suggestions for improvements
  • Thanks and appreciation
  • Answers to others' questions

Bad Comments

  • Off-topic discussions
  • Promotional or spam content
  • Personal attacks or insults
  • Complaints better suited for support tickets
  • Repetitive or duplicate comments

Reporting Content

If you see content that violates these guidelines:

  1. Use the Report button on the model or comment
  2. Select the reason that best describes the violation
  3. Provide details to help us investigate
  4. Don't engage - avoid public arguments about reported content

We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include:

  • Content removal
